Glaciers are huge chunks of ice that are formed due to the accumulation of ice in a place for a long period of time. These chunks get so large that they geographically alter their surrounding during their movement.
Glaciers are important in creating a balance in nature. People are realizing their importance even more due to the harm Global Warming has caused them. It has now become a fact that Glaciers at the poles are melting and if they melt they could completely change the balance around the world.
The glaciers at the mountains peaks are of equal importance as they are the source of the most important rivers around the world, on which the lives of billions depend.
These are some hard facts which we should realize and a part from these facts we should also know that Glaciers are not just there to create harmony in nature but they are a beautiful part of our world without which Earth would look dry and deserted.
