There are certain places on this Earth that are truly remarkable in all their aspects. One can only observe the beauty of such place and it is really hard to tell all about the beauty of these places in words. Only our precious eyes can witness these master pieces and the praise nature with our mouth.
These places can be man mad or may be the creation of the nature itself. Yet some of them are so unique that they cannot be replicated. One such place is the Grand Canyon, situated in the U.S state of Arizona. Now before describing the Grand Canyon let me first clarify what a canyon is.
A canyon is basically a large gorge like terrain formed due to the erosion caused by the river passing through a certain route. So that leaves us with the answer of how the Grand Canyon was formed. The Grand Canyon came into being due to a similar soil erosion caused by the Colorado river.
Its is believed that the Grand Canyon started forming some 17 million years ago and the erosion caused by the Colorado river is its main cause. The Grand Canyon is 446 Km long and is up to 1.5 Km deep at some places.
The Grand Canyon is also a part of the World Heritage Site making it a place of prime importance for the tourists. Some of the most spectacular areas of the Canyon have been made a part of the Grand Canyon National Park. This park is on of the oldest in the U.S.A and attracts million of visitors every year.
The Grand Canyon National Park is not a just place to view the majestic beauty of the area rather the unique geography of the areas has allowed a different animal and plant life to flourish in the area making it a perfect place to encounter natural life.
