The Pyrenees is a famous mountain range situated between Spain and France making a natural separation between these two countries forming a mountainous border. Pyrenees is highly famous for the beauty of it. It is truly one of the most beautiful mountain ranges on Earth.
The mountainous range extend to about 430 Km having one or two countries with in the region. The area is home to so many activities all around the year. It is a heaven for the mountaineers as it provides a wide variety of challenges and a perfect terrain to test ones mountaineering skills.
With around 200 summits the range is a perfect combination of natural beauty and rocky terrain. Due to this it is home to a number of sports of which mountaineering is important. Mountaineering is not the only sport popular in the area, in fact skiing and cycling is also a famous sports that draws athletes and tourists.
The famous Tour de France is also held in the Pyrenees. The Pyrenees hosts some of the most crucial stages of this famous cycling events. There are a number of other cycling styles that are practiced in the rough and rocky terrains of this area.
Stunt biking is also a famous form of cycling and is well suited to the rocky and challenging areas of the Pyrenees. A part from this, Skiing is one another major sport home to the Pyrenees. Many skiing events are held in over here and a number of athletes come here to practice their skiing skills.
Pyrenees is not just for athletes, the numerous skiing resorts are a perfect place to enjoy the snow and have fun in your vacation. The breath taking views and the wonderful natural habitat is simply awesome. You can also see a number of water falls that are really beautiful.
