A grassland
The term Biome means an area having specific climatic and geographic conditions. A biome consists of similar living things such as plants, animal etc which together constitute an ecosystem. Different biomes have different ecosystems which makes each biome distinct. Therefore our world can be classified into several different biomes based on the above mentioned conditions.
The biomes are also called as habitats which govern the survival of all the living things in their region because each living thing is adapted to live in their respective habitat. If for any reason there is a disturbance in the natural habitats of these living things, many of them don't survive while some other are capable of coping with the changing circumstances.
Our world has evolved through out the ages due to these changing conditions in the different biomes. We have seen so many animals become extinct due to this change and many of them have survived for millions of years under these circumstances.
The world Biomes can be classified as follows:
1. Rainforest
2. Desert
3. The Temperate Deciduous Forest
4. Grassland
5. Freshwater Regions
6. The Marine Regions
7. Marshes
8. Mangroves
9. Tundra
10. Taiga
